The developer of Super Evil Megacorp together with the European esports League ESL will hold the world’s first MOBA-game tournament on mobile devices.
The title for which the competition will be held will be Vainglory. Her Super Evil Megacorp launched at the end of 2014. The observer mode has recently been added to the game – specifically so that it can be used as a platform for cyber competitions.
The series of matches will be called by the name of the game – Vainglory Cup. It will start across Europe on May 13.
According to the founder of the studio, Kristian Segerstrale, one of the main reasons why Vainglory began to support cyber tournaments was requests from the gaming community.
“Our community has asked for maximum support for the competitive game, and we are pleased that some of our most popular German streamers will participate together with ESL in our first esports event,” Segerstrole said.
ESL will broadcast the matches from its office in Frankfurt. Representatives of the league stated that they “sincerely believe in the future of esports on touch devices.”
The tournament will end in June. The winning team will receive Nvidia Shield tablets and a sum of money.
