Teemu Huuhtanen left Rovio to create his own studio – Next Games.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, the vice president of mergers and acquisitions left Rovio in early August to become a co-founder of a new mobile development company.
Huukhtanen has been working at Rovio since April 2012, and before that, for a long time he was an employee of various departments of Sulake, the founding company of Habbo Hotel.
The Wall Street Journal notes that Huukhtanen is one of the ten top managers of Rovio who have left the company over the past 2 years. However, in this case we are talking about a two-way flow, since only over the past six months several key specialists have joined the ranks of the company.
In February, Rovio acquired two employees to promote its new brands. Later, Nokia veteran Teemu Suila took the post of chief Operating Officer, and Jamie Laes from Playfish became the head of games.
