Rovio announced the exact release date of The Angry Birds Movie.
A full-length cartoon based on the main Rovio franchise will be released in U.S. theaters on May 20. The authors of the picture reported this in a promo video.
The Finnish company first mentioned working on The Angry Birds Movie in 2012. It was then that it became known that John Cohen would be among the producers. Cohen produced the Despicable Me cartoon and, as vice president of Twentieth Century Fox Animation, participated in the creation of the Ice Age franchise.
