The post of co-president of Activision Blizzard Studios was taken by a producer with 20 years of experience Stacey Sher (Stacey Sher). Cher will work on film and TV adaptations of the company’s main franchises.
The portfolio of the new co-president of Activision Blizzard Studios includes collaboration with Quentin Tarantino on the films “The Abominable Eight”, “Django” and “Pulp Fiction”. Cher, along with the second head of the studio, Nick van Dyk, will help adapt the stories of Skylanders, Call of Duty, StarCraft and Diablo for TV and movie screens.
Activision Blizzard launched its own film studio in November last year. At the same time, the company announced its first project – an animated series based on the Skylanders series of games. The release of the pilot series is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.
