A new feature appeared in the game on Monday, July 4 (Independence Day in the USA). At the same time, Supercell launched a “Week of Tournaments”. From July 4 to July 10, everyone could participate in a set of competitions that were broadcast on Twitch, or just watch the broadcast.

In order to understand exactly how the event affected the games, the indicators were compared with the KPI of week 25. On the first day after the introduction of the new feature, revenue increased by 40% compared to the average. This turned out to be the highest figure for the week in terms of profit.

If we talk about downloads, the biggest increase occurred on the weekend: downloads increased by 50% compared to the average. From July 4 to July 10, the project was downloaded 1 million times more than a week before. The increase in downloads on the weekend is explained by the fact that it was at the end of the week that new users could devote time to the game and properly understand it.

The number of views of broadcasts on Twitch has also grown significantly. Compared to the week before the introduction of the functionality, the amount of time that users spent watching the competitions increased by 117%. The number of views of broadcasts of the three most popular Clash Royale streamers – Phonecats, Trymacs and MonsterDFace – increased by 73.6%, 118.4% and 257.8%, respectively.
