Tomashkevich took over as CEO of Rebel Wolves.
Other executives include Finance Director Michal Boryka and studio head Robert Murzynowski.
The team also includes other experienced developers:
- Design Director Daniel Sadowski – participated in the development of the first “Witcher” and Growing Up;Narrative director and chief screenwriter Jakub Szamalek — worked on The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Thronebreaker;
- Animation director Tamara Zawada — participated in the creation of The Witcher 3 and Shadow Warrior 2;
- Art director Bartlomiej Havel (Bartłomiej Gaweł) — worked on all three parts of The Witcher.
- Rebel Wolves stated that they will always put the interests of the team first.
This is exactly what many employees lacked while working in large gaming companies.
“We present Rebel Wolves as a place where experienced developers can rekindle their passion for games, focus on creativity and lovingly translate it into an ambitious game. We want to remain a small and flexible studio — a place where people know and care about each other,” Tomashkevich stressed.
Rebel Wolves’ debut game will be the yet-to-be-announced AAA-RPG made with Unreal Engine 5. There are no details about the project yet, but the team claims that it intends to “improve the cRPG genre.”
According to Tomashkevich, the main goal of Rebel Wolves is to create memorable games, tell touching stories and evoke emotions.
Konrad Tomashkevich left CD Projekt RED in May 2021 shortly after being accused of humiliating his subordinates. An internal investigation was conducted against him, which lasted several months. As a result, the developer was found not guilty. However, he still left his post and publicly apologized to the staff.
