The authors of the Dusk retroshooter boasted sales of 69 thousand copies

Dusk sales for the month amounted to 69 thousand copies, Gamasutra writes. The game’s producer Dave Oshry called it a great success for the studio.

According to Oshri, the studio played into the hands of the winter sale on Steam. The discount on the game was 15%, and players bought 1,100 copies a day.

Dusk is a shooter created according to the canons of the 90s. Judging by the 97% positive reviews on Steam, the game was received very well. Developers and players note the similarity of Dusk with the original Doom, Quake and Heretic.

Retroshooters are trying to catch the wave of success. They haven’t managed to become a trend yet, but developers are increasingly turning to this genre. In particular, STRAFE, released a year ago, was purchased by at least 200 thousand users. In addition, the game Ion Maiden is being prepared for release.
