After selling his Star Trek Timelines title, Disruptor Beam developer started from scratch. The startup took the name Beamable and released technology for game services.
According to TechCrunch, the SDK from Beamable simplifies the creation of in-game stores, the introduction of social functions and working with content. Cloud software is fully integrated with Unity. First of all, it is sharpened for mobile platforms.
The service is currently in early access. You can take it for games that are being prepared for launch within the next year.
Note that for the sake of developing a new direction, the former Disruptor Beam got rid of her gaming portfolio:
- Game of Thrones Ascent and The Walking Dead: March to War have been Closed;
- Star Trek Timelines — Sold to Tilting Point along with the team for an unknown amount;
- an unannounced title, which Disruptor Beam did not report, found a new developer – East Side Games.
The released Beamable technology was created for use in the above-mentioned projects, the media adds.
