Mobile operator Tele2 has entered a new territory for itself and opened a streaming platform. It’s called CyberHero.
The company positions CyberHero as a platform aimed at both professional esports players and ordinary fans of video games. However, its audience is very small. For example, the most popular live broadcast on the site – according to The Elder Scrolls Online — is currently watched by only eight people.
CyberHero users can create streaming channels, upload their own video game content and watch other people’s streams. In this, CyberHero is not much different from Twitch.
In addition, registration for tournaments on various games is open at the site, Interfax writes. Tournaments are divided into two types: with and without a prize pool. It is not known who the organizers are.
Now the prize fund of premium cups on CyberHero is 5 thousand rubles. Registration for them is available only to Tele2 subscribers. Obviously, the operator is trying to increase its subscriber base, promising its customers the opportunity to earn money.
Subscribers of any mobile operators providing services in Russia can register on CyberHero. But only for Tele2 subscribers there is an extended package of services, the so-called “CyberBuff”. They will be able to view exclusive video content, as well as, as already mentioned, take part in tournaments with a prize pool.
We should add that Tele2 refused to disclose how much money was spent on this project.
