Children from Southeast Asia spend more time playing mobile games than children from the United States. This is the conclusion reached by the startup from the USA SuperAwesome according to the results of the study.
The study examined the behavior of children aged 6 to 14 years. According to SuperAwesome experts, this age group is a serious and little-studied consumer audience.
It turned out that 70% of South Asian children play mobile games in their free time. In the US, this number is 56%. Eight of the ten most popular apps among children in Southeast Asia are games. Social networks and messengers are more popular in the USA.
Among South Asian children, 87% use smartphones, and half own their own device. In the USA, only 30% of children own their own smartphone.
The study was conducted among 1,800 respondents in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
