Shipments of Devil May Cry 5 totaled 2 million copies in two weeks

Capcom has shipped 2 million copies of Devil May Cry 5 in two weeks since its release. This was told by the game director of the title Hideaki Itsuno at GDC 2019.

Shipments of 2 million copies are excellent indicators for the franchise. For example, the previous game in the series — DmC: Devil May Cry from Ninja Theory — shipments totaled 1.2 million copies in three months. And Devil May Cry 4, which was released before him, sold 3 million copies in just six years, VentureBeat writes.

However, the novelty does not keep up with the pace of shipments to the previous release of Capcom, Resident Evil 2. The result of the latter is 3 million copies in the first week of release.
