The SessionM marketing grid presented its latest Power Player Report for the second quarter of 2013, in which the company for the first time investigated exclusively gaming mobile applications.

SessionM publishes quarterly studies of user interactions with content that rewards them for their activity.

In the latest report, the company paid special attention to a group of so-called “key players” (Power Users), the most active users. There were 33.3% of them.

The company interviewed 26 thousand users and found out that key players account for 81% of all time spent by users in general. They are 11.8 times more active than “normal” players.

The study also showed that 36% of downloads of “key players” are responsible for the recommendations of friends (word of mouth). This is followed by positive feedback on the game (23%) and the presence of a loyalty program (19%).

According to SessionM, 53% of the “key players” are most likely not to quit the game that offers a loyalty program.
