Almost a year ago, the Satisfaction simulator became an exclusive Epic Games Store. Now the developers of Coffee Stain Studios have stated that since then they have felt great financial independence.

Satisfactory
This was told by the UI / UX designer of the studio Natalie Verwei (Nathalie Verwei).

The deal with the store, according to her, removed some of the financial problems from the developer.

It's nice, being an indie studio, to feel safe: you know that the game will definitely come out, and at the same time you don't feel limited in funds.

“Epics” covers the losses of indie studios associated with the rejection of other stores. The company concluded the same deal with the authors of OobletsGlumberland. Because of this, by the way, the latter were subjected to harassment. Thousands of players accused the studio of being corrupt.

In the case of Coffee Stain, there were also dissatisfied. The players condemned the departure of the team from Steam to EGS. As Natalie Verwey says: “Of course, there was some negative reaction, but, in my opinion, the minority shouted the loudest.”

According to PC Games Insider, the decision to remove the game page from Steam was made by publisher THQ Nordic, who owns Coffee Stain. And he accepted it even before buying the studio in August of this year, according to community manager Jace Varley.
