Indie studio Scavengers Studio reacted to the scandalous investigation and accusations of harassment by its co-founder. As a result, Simon Darveau was suspended, and the company intends to conduct an internal audit.The studio made this decision during an emergency meeting.
Darvo was removed from the post of creative director and left the company’s board of directors indefinitely.
Scavengers Studio hired an independent firm to conduct an assessment of the working environment and corporate culture inside the studio. The investigation will be monitored by Daisy Lilly Best, who has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer.
Scavengers Studio made this decision after Darvo’s accusations of harassment and moral humiliation of subordinates. At the same time, Amélie Lamarche, who was accused of covering up problems, temporarily left the post of CEO.
