Salaries of British programmers are growing faster than other salaries in the local gaming industry – these are the conclusions reached by the British trade association TIGA based on the results of its research.
The survey involved 2,671 respondents from various branches of British game development and 562 people from related fields. It turned out that the base salary of programmers and developers in 2014 rose above all in the industry – by 3.7%. For other specialists, the base salary increased by an average of 2.7-3 percent.
For comparison, in the UK, the growth of the base salary was the same 3%.
The TIGA Association, in addition, told how many visitors there are among the British game dev workers. About 15% are from Europe, 2.6% are from the Asia-Pacific region, the rest belong to local residents.
