Sony‘s ranks may soon be replenished by Bluepoint Games, a studio that recently released a remake of Demon’s Souls. According to rumors, the Japanese company is already negotiating a purchase. The network also suggests that upon completion of the deal, the developers will be engaged in remakes of Metal Gear Solid exclusively for PS5.
This information was shared by an insider KatharsisT, who previously predicted the restart of Silent Hill (although those rumors were never confirmed). This time he referred to the news published back in November from the user MarsipanRumpan and said — Sony really intends to buy Bluepoint.
Moreover, according to an insider, immediately after the takeover, Bluepoint will start working on remakes of games in the Metal Gear Solid series. All of them should become exclusives for the new PlayStation.
According to KatharsisT, the deal between the companies will be completed in the first half of this year. He did not disclose the exact date, although earlier MarsipanRumpan called the deadline February 28, 2021.
Recall that Bluepoint has worked closely with Sony for many years. Among other things, she developed an updated version of God of War for PS3, a remaster of the Uncharted series, a remake of Shadow of the Colossus for PS4 and a remake of Demon’s Souls for PS5.
