Rovio Entertainmen has announced the release of a series of books Storm Sisters for teenagers.
The author of the books is Mintie Das. They tell about the adventures of five named sisters who “after a series of tragic events” travel together by sea. The action takes place in the 1780s.
None of the books have appeared on the shelves yet. However, the first edition in the series is titled Storm Sisters: The Sinking World has already been presented for the Books at Berlinale event. The event is organized jointly by the Berlin Film Festival and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Its goal is to present books suitable for film adaptations to the general public.
It is planned that Storm Sisters: The Sinking World will be released within a year – the exact date has not yet been announced.
Note that the books have nothing to do with the popular Angry Birds franchise.
