Rovio, together with the Chinese mobile game developer Kunlun, will release the Angry Birds series specifically for the Asian market.
Rovio CEO Pekka Rantala noted that the Chinese market is extremely important for the brand: the mobile gaming industry is developing at a high speed.
Angry Birds games have been downloaded more than half a billion times in China. Partnership with local developers will help the Finnish brand to strengthen its presence in the Asian market.
Let’s add that cooperation with China for Rovio is not limited only to mobile games. In 2018, the company plans to open an Angry Birds theme park in China.
