Riot Games has created a separate publishing label — Riot Forge. Games from third-party developers will start coming out under it.
Now Riot Forge is looking for independent experienced studios to create games in the League of Legends universe. In addition to the direct publication, the label will provide various support — for example, in marketing, localization, voice acting and QA.
Projects for PC, consoles and mobile devices are planned. Some of them may be multiplatform. As reported by Gamesindustry.biz, Riot Forge already has a contract to create one “League of Legends” project. It will be announced next week at The Game Awards. Who is developing the game is still unknown.
Note that the new label will not publish games from Riot Games itself.
Meanwhile, the studio decided to expand its portfolio for the first time in 10 years. Recently, she announced a number of projects, including a fighting game, a card game, MOBA for mobile and consoles, as well as a mobile autobattler based on League of Legends.
