The British Team17 reported record financial results for the fiscal year ended December 31. Recall that in May last year the company became public, having successfully completed the IPO.
- Team17’s revenue increased by 46% over the four fiscal quarters. It amounted to $57.3 million, writes Gamesindustry.biz .
- Profit for the same period increased by 18% to $26.3 million. According to Team17 Chief Executive Officer Debbie Bestwick, the company’s revenue and profit turned out to be record.
- In 2018, pre-tax profit also increased by 18%. It reached $20.3 million.
- Team17 also reported a 30% increase in staff. By the end of the year, the number of employees of the company reached 167 people.
This year, the Team17 portfolio has been replenished with 12 new games. Among them, Overcooked 2 was released — the sequel to the successful cooking game and the winner of The Game Awards 2018 in the nomination “Best Family Game”.
Team17 is also the creator of the Worms tactical series and the publisher of The Escapists prison escape simulator.
