The most common mobile gaming genres in China are RPG and action. This is reported by the local company Ksyun, a subsidiary of Kingsoft Corporation.
Ksyun is a Chinese provider of cloud gaming services. The company conducted a study among 800 games whose publishers applied for its services. It turned out that in 2015, RPGs became the most common. 22.86% of the total number of projects belonged to this genre. In second place were action games (20%). On the third – card (18.57%).
If we talk about the subject, then the most popular are games about martial arts. In this setting, 22.97% of projects have been completed.
Action games and RPGs were also the most downloaded. Moreover, both by downloads and by retention, action games are conducted.
Ksyun experts suggest that these two genres will remain the most popular throughout 2016. At the same time, the share of RPG in the Chinese market will decrease, but only slightly, and the share of action games, on the contrary, will grow by 5%.
