Japanese developer GungHo has finally revealed the download statistics of his super hit in North America.

The most popular Japanese smartphone game Puzzle & Dragons has added a million users in its homeland 15 times in a row every three weeks, and now its audience numbers 17 million. Last month, GungHo reported that its title has gained more than a million players in South Korea. However, so far there has been no data for North America.

Today, the reason for this mystery was revealed: the number of users of the game was relatively small so that GungHo could make an appropriate announcement. Today, for the first time, the developer announced the number of North American Puzzle & Dragons users. As of July 27, there are 1 million of them.

In the USA, the game was released on November 8 on iOS and December 10 on Android. In terms of the number of downloads, the development of the game on the North American continent cannot be called extremely successful, especially considering the marketing campaigns launched in connection with its release, as well as the fact that it received widespread coverage in the English-language media, at least in those related to mobile games.

Nevertheless, Puzzle & Dragons occupies a good position in the US box office top, on July 14 it managed to reach the 6th position in the overall top of applications on the App Store.

GungHo needs to maintain this pace and increase the number of users in North America, because the company’s shares have fallen significantly in price over the past few days: the slowdown in growth dynamics in Japan has affected. And what is even more critical, today Puzzle & Dragons was overthrown for the first time from the top of the Japanese box office top of the App Store, and, even if only for a couple of minutes, the first place was occupied by another puzzle – LINE Pokopang.Source: www.serkantoto.com
