The number of Puzzle and Dragons downloads from the Japanese studio GungHo has exceeded 38 million. Of these, 5 million are in North America.

The game conquered Japan last year: every 10th inhabitant of the land of the Rising Sun has downloaded Puzzle and Dragons at least once. Now it’s time for North America. In the USA, the title has collected five million downloads on mobile devices (and this despite dragons of all colors of the rainbow and acid puzzles, little familiar to the Western eye).

Recall that the hit from GungHo became the world’s first mobile game that earned $ 1 billion in profit. The cherry on the cake: all last year (March 2013-April 2014), the title had the highest ARPU scores in the USA.

A detailed analysis of the mechanics of the game is here, and here we write about how Puzzle and Dragons was created.
