While Sony and Microsoft were launching a new generation of consoles, Nintendo was successfully selling its “old” console. November Switch sales were higher than any other consoles in the US market.

Over the last autumn month, Switch and Switch Lite sold 1.35 million copies in the states, GamesIndustry reported, citing a Nintendo press release. This is almost twice as much as a month ago — in October, only 735 thousand Switch consoles were sold.

In fairness, we note that in November one of the largest traditional sales of the year took place — “Black Friday”. This also affected the growth of Switch sales.

Over the past 11 months, Nintendo has sold 6.92 million units of its portable consoles in the United States alone. For comparison, this is already more than it was in the same period of 2019.

Worldwide sales of the Switch line for the entire time of its existence have now reached 68.3 million copies. Nintendo has not yet revealed how the consoles are doing on the global market this year. At the same time, the company assumed that by the end of the fiscal year (it will end for it on March 30, 2021), it will sell about 24 million Switch units worldwide.
