At the GDC 2019 conference, the award ceremonies for the best gaming projects have ended. App2Top publishes a list of 2019 laureates.
There were three awards. The most ambitious of them is the Game Developers Choice Awards (GDC). Both AAA and indie titles were awarded at it. However, a separate Independent Games Festival Awards (IGF) ceremony was held especially for indie developers. Special awards are also provided for mobile titles — within the framework of the International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA Global)
The largest number of awards in all three ceremonies went to Return of the Obra Dinn and Florence. They are also the best indie title and the best mobile game. The game of the year according to the GDC Awards was God of War.
