As part of the expansion strategy, the French publisher Homa Games announced the opening of the first office in Ukraine. It will be located in Lviv, and the backbone of the team will be made up of former employees of Voodoo, Playgendary and other companies.Together with the opening of the Lviv office, Homa Games intends to attract more Ukrainian developers to its team.

It will also help the company expand its gaming portfolio and improve processes related to development and prototyping.

The studio in Lviv will be headed by Sergey Komar, who has worked in the gaming industry for 12 years as a top manager and lead producer. In addition to him, the team was joined by former employees of Playgendary, SayGames and Voodoo, who worked on such mobile hits as Wacky Run, Sand Balls and Sky Glider.

The opening of an office in Ukraine became possible after Homa Games raised $15 million in February this year. The publisher will spend money not only on staff expansion, but also on potential M&A deals and the purchase of licenses for various IP.

Homa Games is one of the leading mobile publishers, which is known for such hits as Sky Roller, Idle World and Tower Color. Now the company, which employs over 80 people, is working with 200 third-party studios on game development. It also has offices in Paris, Toulouse and Skopje.
