Gaijin Entertainment will now conduct pairs at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). The authors of War Thunder have launched a master’s program at the university, where they will tell you how to make games. But there is one caveat — the requirements for applicants came out quite tough.
The master’s degree was called “Game Programming Technologies”. To get there, you need to have a bachelor’s degree, know English and at least one programming language, understand the basics of matanalysis and a number of other mathematical disciplines, and also love games.
The skills and motivation of applicants will be evaluated by both MIPT and Gaijin.
According to Anton Yudintsev, co-founder of Gaijin, if there are at least a dozen and a half suitable people, it will already be a success.
It should be noted that it will be possible to study for a master’s degree for free. It is not yet known how many budget places are in the program. But, as Gaijin clarifies, just a dozen and a half places will be grant — that is, the company itself will pay for the training of students.
Lectures will be given by both MIPT teachers and Gaijin employees themselves. For example, the technical director and the War Thunder render lead. They intend to teach undergraduates the full cycle of game development.

During their studies, students will have an internship at Gaijin, and after completing their master’s degree, the best of them will be able to get a job there.
Graduates are guaranteed employment if they study. You can bring a donkey to the water, but even Shaitan can't make him drink. But I can promise: together with MIPT we will give knowledge that will be enough to work with us.
