Epic Games has announced the release of the MetaHuman Creator editor in early access. It allows you to create realistic human models in a few minutes.
The principle of operation of MetaHuman Creator resembles the character editor in The Sims or Cyberpunk 2077. The user creates unique characters based on the proposed templates, and then exports them to his game.
This greatly simplifies the work on game characters. It usually takes a lot of time and effort to create the latter. Because of this, the creation of characters with this level of elaboration is usually available only to AAA teams. MetaHuman Creator changes this.
Unsurprisingly, when Epic Games first announced MetaHuman Creator, the audience reaction was very positive. In particular, Elon Musk spoke positively about the instrument.
At the time of the announcement, access to the tool was limited. It was only possible to get acquainted with the two models in detail. Now the number of template models has increased to 50, and it is also possible to edit them freely.
However, Epic warned that there may be some minor problems with it for now. Since the tool works through the cloud, not everyone will be able to access it right away.
It is not yet known when MetaHuman Creator will be released from early access.
