The British company Marmalade, the developer of the cross-platform SDK, will launch a mobile games studio in Lisbon. This is reported by Pocketgamer.biz .
The Portuguese studio will become part of the company’s gaming division – Marmalade Game Studio.
According to the resource Pocketgamer.biz , the Lisbon Marmalade team will work on original games and develop titles for other companies.
Marmalade CEO Harvey Elliott called the opening of an office in Portugal “an important part of the strategy to expand the company’s presence in the international market.” He noted that the studio will help relieve the load from the team in London and stressed that several projects have already been prepared for it.
Recall that in early July Marmalade received an investment of $ 2 million from the firm Bloc Ventures.
