The Japanese company Mobcast has acquired the rights to a series of console puzzles Lumines and Meteos from studio Q Entertainment. The amount of the transaction is not called. The company is going to port titles to mobile devices.

Puzzles, the rights to which the company acquired, have been popular on consoles for a long time. Attempts to release them on mobile devices have already been made: Lumines Mobile was released in 2006, and Lumines Touch for iOS was released in 2009.

The author of the original Lumines, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, will take part in the work on the mobile version of the puzzles. He will head the California studio Enhance Games, where the titles will be remade for smartphones.
