In July, app developers for the Chinese App Store received revenue that was seven times higher than usual. This is a consequence of a banking error.
As reported by PocketGamer.biz , Apple transferred funds to developers through Deutsche Bank. He mistakenly made payments in dollars instead of Chinese yuan. That’s why their income for July was significantly higher.
In particular, this information was confirmed by the developers of Panda Eats Messages, as well as My Goals. They received SMS notifications about inflated payments.
Sources in Chinese social networks note that the authors of the applications began to receive messages from Apple. The company will recalculate the funds, so that in the near future the bank will contact the developers and approve the refund of erroneous payments.
Note that the number of studios in the Chinese App Store exceeded 2.2 million. It is not said exactly how many developers received too high income in July.
