The British publisher and developer King has acquired the Z2Live game studio in the USA. This is the first studio bought by the company in America.
The transaction value was $45 million. Kipd has also committed to pay Z2Live up to $105 million, depending on how successful the Battle Nations studio game will be.
Z2Live has the already mentioned strategy for PC and mobile platforms Battle Nations and flight simulator MetalStorm: Online for iOS. Both of them differ significantly from the title titles of the British company. King said that this difference was the main reason for the purchase: the company, apparently, wants to master new game genres for itself.
