It is also important that its authors are responsible for Pokémon GO, the highest-grossing game in the world.

For Niantic studio Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is a significant step from conventional geolocation titles to augmented reality. Although Wizards Unite is essentially a geolocation game, it has virtual locations with a 360-degree view. They can be “accessed” from the real world through magical portals. That is, the game contains significantly more AR elements than Pokémon GO.

Another feature of Wizards Unite is the influence of real weather conditions and time of day on the gameplay. For example, certain creatures appear in real locations only at night or only in rainy weather.

Wizards Unite is currently available in 42 countries, but not in Russia.
