The number of copies of Ghost of Tsushima sold exceeded 5 million. This allowed the game to gain a foothold in the status of the fastest selling new IP for PS4.Herman Hulst, head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios, told about this on Twitter.
Ghost of Tsushima was released on July 17 and sold 2.4 million copies in the first three days. Previously, the status of the fastest-selling new IP developed by Sony’s internal studio for PS4 belonged to Horizon: Zero Dawn (2.6 million copies in the first few weeks).
At the same time, Marvel’s Spider-Man remains the most successful PS4 exclusive, with the number of copies sold exceeding 13 million in less than a year.
