Gearbox Software did not fulfill the threat given to its former lawyer Wade Callender. In December, he filed a lawsuit against the head of the studio Randy Pitchford (Randy Pitchford), and the company planned to complain to the court for defamation. But she didn’t.

According to Polygon with reference to Callender, there have been no complaints from Gearbox to the Texas Bar Association.
A professional lawyer found out this himself by contacting the organization about his business reputation. At the same time, Gearbox issued an official statement in January in which it announced its intentions against Callender.
Nevertheless, last year Callender and Gearbox managed to “exchange” lawsuits. The studio accused the former employee of refusing to pay corporate debt — $ 137 thousand, which he used for other purposes. A month later, Callender went to court with serious charges against Randy Pitchford. In particular, according to him, Pitchford violated a number of Gearbox contracts, appropriated $12 million received from the publisher of Take-Two, and, on top of everything, stored child pornography.
Pitchford called all the above accusations absurd slander. However, the studio has not filed a complaint about this. Gearbox and its representatives have not yet responded to Polygon’s request.
Recall that Gearbox Software is best known for the Borderlands franchise. The third part of the shooter series will be released in September this year.
