Studio Dream Games, founded by ex-developers Peak Games, closed the first round of funding. She received $7.5 million to develop mobile puzzles.
According to CrunchBase, two investors have invested in the startup. The largest amount was contributed by the venture fund Makers Fund. By the way, he previously invested in the publisher tinyBuild.
Dream Games is based in Turkey. It is opened by people from Peak Games. Among the co-founders of the new startup is former product director Soner Aydemir. Now he is the executive director of Dream Games.
The team included four more of his colleagues from Peak Games. During the first year, the studio is planned to expand to 20 professionals. But, according to Aidemir, it is pointless to assemble a large team. “Supercell created amazing games with the help of very small teams. This proves that you don’t need a huge staff scattered across regions to create interesting games,” he said.
With the collected $7.5 million, the team will start developing casual puzzles.
Most studios are sure that the market is already full. But we think that the casual niche still gives great opportunities. We see that millions of players are still waiting for new thoughtful and exciting puzzles.

But first, Dream Games will focus on one flagship project for players over 25 years old. According to TechCrunch, they have chosen the “evolution over innovation” approach. If their game doesn’t turn out to be a hit right away, they’ll work on it long enough to make it a success.
