The management of This Game Studio consists of Chris Ko, the former general manager of the Kabam branch in North America, as well as two immigrants from the Vancouver studio Exploding Barrel Games.
Kabam acquired it in 2013. The studio is going to make “fun and profitable games”. Its management noted that it plans to create projects under high-profile licenses, the fashion for which Glu has started. “Negotiations with licensees are underway now,” Chris Ko shared.
Investors became interested in This Game Studio, according to Ventirebeat, thanks to the studio’s management.
“[The investment in the studio] reflects our commitment to work with the best mobile developers in the world,” said Michael Chang, vice president of NCsoft.”
