Game Bait! For Gear VR from the Swedish developer, Resolution Games has gained 500 thousand downloads in 3 months.
Title is a shareware fishing simulator. The project started on the VR games market at the end of March. In the first five days, the downloads exceeded 150 thousand.
The figures are more than modest for mobile, but impressive for the VR games market. For comparison, Gear VR headsets have sold only 300 thousand in Europe so far. The number of MAUS across the entire VR ecosystem is estimated at approximately one million people.
By the way, the figures shared by the company are almost the first published metrics in this segment of the industry.
