Dragalia Lost has earned $75 million since its release on the App Store and Google Play. This made it the second most successful title in the Nintendo mobile line, according to Sensor Tower.
The earnings of the fourth Nintendo mobile game are higher than those of its two predecessors: Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Super Mario Run. Nevertheless, Fire Emblem Heroes was and remains the leader in revenue.
Nintendo Mobile Game Revenue:
- Fire Emblem Heroes — $500 million since February 2017;
- Dragalia Lost — $75 million since September 2018;
- Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp — $70.8 million since November 2017;
- Super Mario Run — $68.6 million since December 2016.
Dragalia Lost earned the title of the second most successful release of the company, despite early forecasts. It was assumed that this game would be the least profitable for Nintendo, but it managed to destroy expectations.
For example, in the fourth quarter of last year, Dragalia Lost, according to GameRefinery, was responsible for 19% of mobile action RPG earnings in the United States. At the same time, the share of its revenue from American players for all time was 18%.
The key market for the game remains Japanese: the share of revenue in the Land of the Rising Sun is 65%. It is not surprising, because Dragalia Lost is primarily focused on the Japanese audience, both in terms of mechanics and visual component.
