The analytical platform devtodev has written a book about 25 metrics that are used in video games. It is called “Game metrics”. The pages contain a description of the metrics themselves and methods of working with them.
As devtodev pointed out, the structure of her book follows the path that the user goes through in the game: from installation to monetization.
Among other things , analysts told:
- what metrics should you pay attention to first of all during the launch of the first game;
- how metrics affect each other;
- how to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic sources;
- how to work with user data and evaluate audience behavior.
The book “Game Metrics” was published in Russian and is distributed free of charge. You can download it from the link.
This is not the first time devtodev has released a free book for developers. For example, in April she published a book on in—game store optimization, and last October she published a guide to analyzing advertising in games.
