Now CD Projekt has a long break between the big titles — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cuberpunk 2077. But the publisher’s revenues continue to grow, as do sales ofThe Witcher 3 — even after four years.

The Witcher 3: Wild HuntAccording to the reports, in the first half of 2019 CD Projekt earned €50 million.

  • This is 26% more than in the same period last year. Curiously, sales of The Witcher 3 over the past six months have also been higher. And, in general, the publisher’s income is stimulated by the “witcher franchise”.
  • 62% of the specified revenue was brought by the publisher CD Projekt Red, as reported by Gamesindustry.biz .
  • Another 38% is the GOG store. Good revenue was brought by retro games from Blizzard (Diablo, Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, Warcraft II), according to CD Projekt.
  • Nevertheless, the largest number of transactions in GOG falls on Cyberpunk 2077. A third of all digital pre-orders of the game have been paid for through CD Projekt’s own store. By the way, it is still in development, its release is scheduled for April 16.
  • Speaking of game development: CD Projekt’s spending on it increased by 20% (compared to the first half of 2018). For the most part, this is due to Cyberpunk 2077, porting TheWitcher 3 to Switch and creating GOG Galaxy 2.0.
  • In their report, CD Projekt expressed their willingness to develop onlythe Cyberpunk andWitcher franchises.
