Call of Duty: Mobile has the biggest launch in the history of mobile gaming. Before her, no mobile game managed to reach 100 million installs in just seven days.
This is reported by Sensor Tower after analyzing the downloads of the game in Google Play and the App Store. Interestingly, Call of Duty: Mobile was able to achieve this result outside of China, the largest mobile market.
Installations
According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, 100 million players in just a week is a great achievement for Activision Blizzard. This publisher’s MAU for all projects on PC and consoles did not exceed 37 million users.
Worth noting that this is without a China launch either.
Activision previously had 37m monthly active users across its brands (Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot etc…) on PC/Console.
In just one week they reached more than 100m with a successful mobile game using the COD IP. https://t.co/UlrIhkfB2z
— Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) October 8, 2019More than half (55.7%) of Call of Duty: Mobile downloads were for iOS users.
- The most popular game in the USA: the American share of downloads has grown to 17%. In the first two days of release, it was 9%.
- India ranked second in downloads. It has a share of 13.4% of global Call of Duty: Mobile installations.
- Brazil is in third place with a share of 7%.
The previous record — 90 million instals for the release week — belonged to Mario Kart Tour. The popular hit PUBG Mobile was installed 28 million times during the same time. Fortnite — 22.5 million times.
Income
In addition, Call of Duty: Mobile earned $17.7 million in the first week. The game’s revenue rate is growing rapidly. In the first 36 hours (taking into account the soft launch), its revenue amounted to $ 2 million. Now the average daily revenue has risen to $3 million.
53% of the current amount was on the App Store. Almost half of the game’s global revenue — 43.1% — was generated by US players. They alone spent almost three times more in Call of Duty: Mobile than Fortnite earned in its first week.
Recall that the game was released on October 1. The publisher of the western version of the game is Activision Blizzard.
