Veterans Respawn and Infinity Ward have opened the AAA studio Gravity Well. At first, she will have to do without an office because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The founders and so far the only employees of Gravity Well are Drew McCoy and Jon Shiring.
Both helped the formation of Respawn, but in early 2020 they left it with the intention of creating their own studio.
The coronavirus pandemic convinced McCoy and Shearing to focus on remote work. They plan to recruit 80 employees worldwide, connected only via the Internet. After the pandemic, Gravity Well will get a head office — most likely in Los Angeles.
The new studio will focus on AAA titles, including for next-generation consoles. Nothing concrete is known about the planned games, writes Gamesindustry.biz .
It should be noted that Gravity Well has already received funding proposals. Its executives are looking for an investor who will give them full control over both the studio itself and its games.
McCoy has worked at Respawn for almost 10 years. Four more years before that — in Infinity Ward. He led the development of the successful battle royale Apex Legends, was the producer of the Titanfall series.
Shiring also has an impressive resume: 10 years at Respawn and 6 years at Infinity Ward. He was the lead programmer in the Titanfall and Apex projects, and also developed both parts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
