Chinese company Shanda Games launches Eyedentity Mobile game studio in Berlin and invests $30 million in it.
The Berlin-based company was created as a result of the merger of the international publishing house Actoz Soft and the South Korean developer of mobile games Eyedentity Games. Eyedentity Mobile will become the publisher of Shanda Games in the western market. In addition, the studio will develop games for a Chinese company.
Eyedentity Games, which has been owned by Shanda Games since 2010, has several titles already implemented. Among them are two RPGs in a fantasy setting, Wonder5 Masters and GrandChase M. The money received will also be used to promote these projects.
Shanda Games Limited is a major Chinese publisher and developer of online multiplayer mobile and PC games. Recall that the company announced the release of an MMO on the Borderlands universe, on which it is working together with the American studio 2K Games.
