Jaroslav Beck, one of the authors of Beat Saber, will invest in young VR developers. He announced his desire to become an investor on Twitter.
Yaroslav Beck is the former CEO of Beat Games studio and the composer of its main hit. He resigned from his managerial position to focus on his music career.
But now he has expressed a desire to become a consultant and investor for the creators of games with virtual reality support. This is his personal project, according to VentureBeat.
“It’s time to return something. If you are a VR developer and need support to finish your wonderful game, run this video.”
Earlier at Gamescom, Beck said: “It would be great to raise investments and support new VR developers, <…> since I believe that the market desperately needs new VR mechanics and a new approach to creating such games.”
Beck played a significant role in the creation of the musical Beat Saber. It turned out to be one of the most successful VR titles. In less than a year, it has sold 1 million copies on all platforms — without a PR campaign. Even Beck himself did not expect “such a crazy hype.”
