ARM develops microprocessors for mobile devices and licenses its own technologies to third-party firms for the production of chips.
At Casual Connect, the company presented chips created in partnership with Nvidia, Samsung and Texas Instruments. Nizar Romdan, one of the directors of ARM, promised that in about a year with the help of these chips, mobile devices will catch up with the graphics performance of PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
“The leading brands of smartphones and tablets are already showing higher performance than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. And are quickly catching up with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4,” said Romdan.
