Last Thursday, Apple did not accept the Palestinian platformer about the war. However, after discussion in social networks, the project appeared in the App Store.
The platformer Liyla & the Shadows of War from the Palestinian developer Rasheed Abueideh tells about the journey of the girl Leyla through the war zone. The description of the game says that it is “based on real events.”
Apple considered that the platformer is not a game and refused to publish the project in the “Games” category. In return, the company offered the developer to place the project in the “News” or “Reference Books” category.
However, the developer himself felt that he was refused publication because the game was made in Palestine. And in his Twitter account he complained about the injustice.
Unfortunately Apple rejected the game as a game, they say its not game,it has a political statement.#indiedev #games pic.twitter.com/1zRjNMv77M

После этого Apple одобрила публикацию. На текущий момент условно-бесплатный платформер Liyla & the Shadows of War находится в категории «Игры». Разработчик проекта поблагодарил сообщество и сообщил, что без поддержки этого добиться не удалось бы.
Thanks to all of you, without this awesome community we will never do it.
