The news was shared on the Twitter account by Tyrone Rodriguez, the co-founder of Nicalis, which became the developer and publisher of the iOS project.

«Ваше приложение содержит контент или элементы, которые демонстрируют жестокость или плохое отношение к детям, что не разрешено в App Store», – гласит письмо, полученное Родригезом от Apple.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth tells about a child whose mother locked him in the basement for religious reasons.

The title (“Sacrifice of Isaac”) is an allusion to the biblical story of the same name.

The game is an updated version of the original 2011 indie project, authored by Super Meat Boy designer Edmund McMillen. The title was released on Windows, Mac and Linux. A version for the Nintendo 3DS was also planned. However, this version did not get into stores, as Nintendo rejected the project due to “questionable religious content”.
