Epic Games has released the game Unreal Match 3. The title in the genre of “three-in-a-row” is designed to train mobile developers.
Using the example of Unreal Match 3, novice developers will learn how to work with the latest iteration of the Epic Games engine – Unreal 4. The game and related materials – art, source codes, and so on – are available through the Learn Tab in the engine control panel.
Epic Games has also created a section dedicated to the project, where each stage of creating match-3 is described in detail – working with UI, analytics, user feedback, setting up monetization and much more.
The title has so far appeared only on Google Play. This is a shareware match-3. The project uses standard three-in-a-row monetization methods for the genre. The player buys paid power-ups, additional “lives”, and so on.
