In November of this year, an average of 792 new games were published in the App Store every day. Such data was shared by the Pocket Gamer resource.
In total, 81328 applications appeared in the store in November, of which 23770 were games. This is still the most popular category in the App Store.
As of November 2016, the total number of applications in the store reached 2937997. Of this number, the games amounted to 728,858.
Most (79.04%) of the apps in the App Store are free. The most popular price is $0.99. That’s how much 9.18% of projects cost. Other popular price tags are $1.99 (4.05%) and $2.99 (2.84%).
Interestingly, the price of $9.99, for which Nintendo is going to sell Super Mario Run, is not so rare. The same amount costs 0.64% of the total number of applications.
